It's not the mark of a legitimate business. Definitely stay away, and definitely file complaints if you've already dealt with them. I have had the runaround from Domain Central for the last 6 weeks over a domain registered by them for monetarisation against auDA policy. They first attempted to ignore me for several weeks, then tried several times to mislead me on auDA policy. Finally when I had debunked each of their statements by specific quotes to auDA policy, and clearly established that they had responsibility to take action, they just went back to ignoring me. I finally got fed up and filed a complaint with the auDA. It was upheld so I got agod result in the end. I would second the statements above - stay well away from dealing with this group of companies. Unfortunately I don’t think much has changed.
